Curriculum
Our program begins with our Toddlers (12 months). They are
always busy reciting nursery rhymes, going over flashcards with their numbers, shapes and colors, stacking and picking
up objects
also helps us to build on their eye‑hand coordination skills.
We use the A Beka Program as our basis when
creating our lesson plans for our pre-k two,
pre-k three
and pre-k four classes. Our morning class time begins at 9:00 am. We like to get started with a song and dance.
This helps us to get ourwiggles out. We then go into circle
time where we learn and discuss the days of the week, weather outside, our letters, colors and shapes for that
month.
Our children are allowed to explore and get involved with hands on activities daily
inside and out of the classroom. Spanish is taught to our Pre-k Three's and Four's twice a week.
Your child will begin with the basic colors, shapes, and numbers. Once they are taught this they will move on to
body parts and common words such as momma, daddy, cat, dog and many more.
We also
have time set aside for your child to explore on our classroom computers. They
are taught basic skills. Then they will be let loose to play with educational
software.
